Having an EV charger installed by us? For the charging to be safe and never trip your main fuse, the charger needs to be able to read your electricity meter. It takes about 5 minutes to prepare. Follow the steps below.
Take a photo
Photograph your electricity meter
Take a clear straight-on photo of the whole meter in good lighting.
Make sure the model name and type plate are visible (e.g. "Aidon 6534").
Also take a close-up photo of the ports at the bottom of the meter.
Upload the photos directly below.
Upload your photos here
Enter your name and phone number so we can link the photos to you.
Why? The photo means we can immediately see which meter you have and which solution is right for it. That saves you unnecessary extra visits.
A short call
Ask Skellefteå Kraft to prepare the meter
Call Skellefteå Kraft (your electricity network operator) and ask them to do two things with your meter. It only takes a minute.
I am going to install an EV charger and would like to prepare my electricity meter.
Could you activate the customer interface (HAN port) according to the EFS2 profile?
And replace the system module in my Aidon meter from RF500 to an RJ12 module?
Good to know: Activating the HAN port is free of charge. Skellefteå Kraft will carry out the module replacement for you. If you have an older meter they may have an RJ45 module instead. We will resolve that at installation — just get in touch if you are unsure.
An electrician will contact you shortly
We will call and book the installation at a time that suits you. Any questions in the meantime? Get in touch:
