Older houses offer everything from lamp hooks with porcelain connectors to wiring that has not been touched since the house was built. We connect correctly regardless of the starting point — and if the connection in the rose is worn out you will be told and given a fixed price before we touch it.
A substantial pendant over the dining table or a cast-glass fitting needs more than a sticky hook. We check that the mounting can take the weight and anchor to a joist when needed, so the lamp sits just as securely in ten years' time.
