Replace wall sockets and switches in Stockholm

In the busy city life you rarely think about the sockets until one goes loose or a switch feels stiff. We replace old, yellowed or unearthed sockets and switches with new ones — safely and neatly, usually in a single visit. The price is fixed, travel and standard materials are included and the ROT deduction is already applied. Replace several points in your flat or house at once and the price per point drops.

Black, flush-mounted or with child protection — you choose the look

All wall sockets we install have built-in tamper protection — child-safe straight from the factory. As standard we fit flush-mounted sockets in white, which suits most flats and homes. If you want black sockets and switches or another series to match a newly renovated wall, just say so when booking — the electrician brings the right materials on the first visit and you avoid a return trip.

Surface-mounted installation when back-boxes are missing

The package prices assume existing flush-mounted back-boxes in the wall. In the older housing stock and in some terraced houses these are sometimes absent, or sit too shallow. We solve this with surface-mounted installation as an add-on in the booking, so you avoid chiselling into plastered or rendered walls in a flat where minimal intervention is preferred.

Relocate or add points where they are actually needed

Is the socket behind the sofa, or missing entirely at the home office that has become permanent? In smaller flats every socket counts. We relocate existing wall sockets and switches or run a new socket from an existing point, with a fixed price for that too. See the price rows above so you know the cost before the electrician arrives.

A loose socket is a warning sign — not just cosmetics

A socket where the plug sits loosely creates resistance in the connection, and resistance becomes heat. Discoloured sockets, crackling sounds or a faint burning smell are all signs of the same problem. In apartment buildings, where neighbours live in close proximity, this is one of the most common precursors to electrical faults — and a replacement is a quick, inexpensive fix compared with what a hot connection can cause in a dense building.

The whole home in one visit with the package prices

In flats and houses from older eras the sockets and switches are often original — yellowed, tired and without tamper protection. The five- or eight-point packages are made for exactly that situation: we go through the home room by room and replace all worn points in a single visit, at a lower price per point. Convenient both for the individual flat and when a housing association coordinates replacements across multiple flats.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know a socket needs replacing?

Looseness, discolouration, cracks or sockets that feel warm are clear signs. If you are unsure the electrician will check more points while on site — replacements can be added as we go during the visit.

Do all new sockets have tamper protection?

Yes, every wall socket we install has built-in tamper protection as standard — child-safe straight from the factory, with no loose plastic plugs that get lost.

Can the socket be moved higher up the wall?

Yes, moving a socket or switch to a better height is a common request in flats, for example above a new kitchen worktop. The fixed price for relocation is in the price list above.
