If you want black sockets and switches or another series to match a newly renovated wall, just say so when booking — the electrician brings the right materials on the first visit and you avoid a return trip.

Surface-mounted installation when back-boxes are missing

The package prices assume existing flush-mounted back-boxes in the wall. In the older housing stock and in some terraced houses these are sometimes absent, or sit too shallow. We solve this with surface-mounted installation as an add-on in the booking, so you avoid chiselling into plastered or rendered walls in a flat where minimal intervention is preferred.

Relocate or add points where they are actually needed

Is the socket behind the sofa, or missing entirely at the home office that has become permanent? In smaller flats every socket counts. We relocate existing wall sockets and switches or run a new socket from an existing point, with a fixed price for that too. A loose socket is a warning sign — not just cosmetics

A socket where the plug sits loosely creates resistance in the connection, and resistance becomes heat. Discoloured sockets, crackling sounds or a faint burning smell are all signs of the same problem.
