Install an EV charger at home in Stockholm

Charging your car at home is both cheaper and more convenient than hunting for a free public charger in the middle of city life — the car is fully charged every morning. We install Zaptec and Charge Amps at a fixed price with the green technology deduction applied directly to the total. Three packages and clear prices, whether you live in a house, a terraced house or have private parking. Work is carried out by a qualified electrical installer, and once you have booked you will receive a suggested time as soon as the booking is in.

Green technology deduction — 50% applied directly

An EV charger qualifies as green technology: the tax reduction is 50% on both labour and materials, up to SEK 50,000 per person per year. We apply the deduction directly to the price and handle all processing with the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) — the prices you see on the page are what you actually pay, nothing to apply for afterwards. The requirement is that you own your home and have deduction allowance remaining for the year.

Can your consumer unit handle an EV charger?

An EV charger draws current for longer and harder than most other things in the home, and must therefore have its own circuit in the consumer unit. At installation we check the consumer unit, main fuse and cable route. Many houses and terraced houses in Stockholm are older properties with small consumer units, but most can still handle charging without upgrading the main fuse. With load balancing the charger automatically adjusts its charging rate to how much power the rest of the home is using at any moment, so the main fuse never becomes a bottleneck.

Which EV charger suits you?

Zaptec Go is the compact favourite that suits most people — smart, connected and built for Nordic climates. Zaptec Go 2 adds V2G readiness, a display and MID-certified meter for those who want to use the EV as a battery for the home. Charge Amps Aura has dual sockets and charges two cars simultaneously, making it the obvious choice in a two-car household with its own driveway or garage. All three are installed, commissioned and demonstrated before we leave, so you can charge straight away.

Installation in garage, on facade or post

The chargers we install are rated for outdoor use and withstand weather year-round. We run the cable with weather protection and mount where it suits your home best — inside the garage, on the facade by the driveway or on a post next to the parking space. In a terraced house row we position the charger so it works with neighbours and shared areas. Work is carried out by a qualified electrical installer, standard materials and travel are included in the fixed price, and you get a placement that is practical in everyday use.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost to install an EV charger?

Zaptec Go costs SEK 10,900, Zaptec Go 2 SEK 15,020 and Charge Amps Aura SEK 23,400 — fully installed, with green technology deduction and standard installation included.

How long does installation take?

A standard installation is normally complete in one day and you can charge that same evening. Once you have booked you will receive a suggested time as soon as the booking is in.

Do I need to upgrade my home's electrics?

Usually not. The charger is configured for the home's conditions, and with load balancing it reduces the charging rate when the household is drawing a lot of power rather than tripping the main fuse. If a new circuit in the consumer unit is needed you get a fixed price for it before work begins.

Is a charging cable included?

Zaptec Go 2 comes with a 22 kW charging cable. Zaptec Go and Charge Amps Aura have Type 2 sockets where you use the car's own cable.
