Outdoor electrical socket in Stockholm

Barbecue on the patio, mow the lawn and charge tools without an extension lead through the window or balcony door. We install splash-proof IP44 sockets — earthed, RCD-protected and positioned where they are useful, at the house, terraced house or your own outdoor space in a housing association.

Right enclosure outdoors — IP44 and RCD protection

Outdoor sockets must withstand rain, snow and sub-zero temperatures year after year. We use enclosed sockets rated at least IP44, connect them via RCD protection and run the cable professionally — no temporary fixes that become permanent. In older houses where the outdoor circuit may lack modern protection we ensure the new installation meets current requirements.

Power to the garage and shed

Need power to a whole building rather than just a socket? We run a feed with armoured cable, fit a consumer unit, sockets and lighting — ready to use the same day. Fixed price; see the price row above. If the cable needs to be buried we provide the trench depth so you can dig yourself if you wish.

An extension lead through the window is not a solution

An extension lead through a window frame or balcony door cannot withstand chafing damage, snow or sitting there for months — and that is exactly how it is used: for Christmas lights in autumn, the pressure washer in spring, the lawnmower in summer. A permanent outdoor socket with a cover and RCD protection is built to be used all year round, and you get rid of both the draught through the window and the risk.

Where do the sockets make most sense?

On the patio or outdoor space for the barbecue and fairy lights, by the entrance for lighting and on the garage wall for tools and chargers. In a terraced house or detached house the cables tend to end up in the same places year after year — place the sockets right there and the makeshift solutions disappear by themselves and you stop hunting for power strips every season.

Garden, greenhouse and conservatory

Permanent outdoor sockets are useful further out on the plot too: in the greenhouse for the fan heater and growing lights, in the conservatory for fairy lights and an electric grill, by the flowerbed for the pond pump. We run cable to where it is needed — neatly surface-mounted on the facade or buried through the lawn — and every point gets the right enclosure class and RCD protection.

Frequently asked questions

Can the outdoor lighting be controlled by a timer?

Yes, a timer- or relay-controlled socket is available as an add-on in the booking — practical for fairy lights that should turn on and off at set times.

Do the sockets cope with winter?

Yes, we install enclosed sockets rated at least IP44 with covers, made to sit outdoors through snow, rain and cold year after year.

Is digging included if the cable goes to the shed?

No, excavation is not included in the fixed prices — but you will be told the trench depth and can dig yourself, and we provide the cable and connection.

Can several sockets be installed in one visit?

Yes, and that is the smartest way to use the call-out — patio, entrance and garage wall in one go. Extra points are added directly in the booking.
