Electrician in Stockholm
Ceiling lamps, flush fittings and pendants are hung safely, connected correctly and finished in the same visit. The price is fixed for up to three fittings, and if the whole home needs new lights there is a package price for six fittings. We are just as comfortable in a flat on the third floor as in a terraced house or detached house, and you know the cost before the electrician starts.
We connect to existing ceiling roses and check that the suspension can take the weight of the fitting — extra important for a heavy pendant over the dining table. If the rose is worn or the connection is doubtful you will be told and given a fixed price for the repair before anything is done, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
New-build flats and terraced houses usually have DCL roses where the lamp clips in with a quick connector. In older properties everything from lamp hooks with porcelain connectors to wiring that has not been touched for decades turns up — sometimes unearthed. We connect correctly regardless of the starting point, and if the connection in the rose is worn out you will be told and given a fixed price before we touch it.
A substantial pendant over the dining table or a cast-glass fitting needs more than a sticky hook. We check that the mounting can take the weight and anchor to a joist when needed, so the lamp sits just as securely in ten years as on day one. In a city life where you rarely look up at the ceiling, the lighting should just work.
In Stockholm's apartment buildings the floor structures are often concrete, with cast-in ceiling roses and limited working space. That calls for the right tools rather than luck — we drill, plug and mount without it showing more than it should, and without damaging the ceiling. If you live in a housing association where pipe replacements and renovations have already left their mark, we ensure the new lamp sits neatly regardless of what is concealed above the surface.
The fixed price covers up to three fittings, so group them: the bedroom ceiling lamp, the hallway flush fitting and the kitchen pendant in one visit. More than three? The package price for six fittings is in the price row above — convenient when the whole flat or house is being lit in one go.
Permanently wired wall lamps count as fittings under the same fixed price — practical when the bedside lamps go up at the same time as the ceiling lights. And if a room has no ceiling rose at all, which happens in older flats and outbuildings, we run the connection with a surface-mounted conduit instead of cutting into the ceiling.
A lamp with a plug and lamp cord you can hang yourself. A permanent connection in a ceiling rose, replacing a rose or working in old wiring requires a qualified electrical installer — and that is often where flats in the older housing stock end up.
Yes. Note the ceiling height in the booking if it is over three metres, which older flats often have, and the electrician will bring the right ladder or work platform.
Yes, we re-route from the existing rose and add a new point where you want the light. You will be given a fixed price for the addition before work begins.
Yes, worn connectors are replaced with safe modern connections as part of the installation — common in older Stockholm flats. You are told and given a price before anything is done.
